I felt this topic was obligatory, and I think that initially this will be slightly skewed towards IP.Board, as that's who most of my followers are, but here goes:

What forum software do you use? and importantly, why do you use it?

Well, I use IP.Board. When I first wanted to start a forum, I had searched for free forum software. I had somehow gotten the link to IPS forums, and really fell head over heels for the software. Ended up paying for it, and absolutely love it. I've tried vBulletin, SMF and phpBB, but none of them had the ease of use and simplicity for my users that IP.Board had.

IPB. Simply because I do not like change. I have been using IPB for a number of years. IPS treats their customers very well.

IP.Board. Since I was "forced" into using it when I took over the ownership on a site a few years back.

Would probably be IP.Board anyway, if I had to choose today.
